Imogene T. Street

Imogene T. Street, 88, of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home.

Born in Fort Johnson on July 13, 1924, she was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and lived in this area her entire life. Imogene had a thirty- seven-year career with Mohasco, working in the office.

She later was employed by the state of New York in Albany as an office clerk until she retired. She loved flowers and animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed travelling with her family, and was of the Methodist faith.

She leaves her dear brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Karolyn Miller of Galway; nephew, Michael S. Miller; niece, Katrina (Richard) Stegura; grandnieces, Mackenzie, Kaileen and Charlotte; an aunt, Kate Steele; and cousins. Imogene was predeceased by her uncle, Nash Steele.

Services are Friday at 1 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, with the Rev. Cynthia Leonard officiating.

Spring interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. A calling period will begin at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
