Amato re-elected trustee in sheriffs’ group

ALBANY - Montgomery County Sheriff Michael J. Amato was re-elected trustee of the Executive Committee of the New York State Sheriffs' Association at its 79th Annual Winter Training Conference on Jan. 24.

New York State Lieutenant Governor Robert J. Duffy swore in Amato, a news release said.

The New York State Sheriffs' Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation, formed in 1934, for the purpose of assisting sheriffs in the efficient and effective delivery of sheriffs' services to the public, the news release said.
