Boys Basketball Roundup: Cougars cruise past Eagles, 62-31

CANAJOHARIE - Zach Folts finished with 16 points, leading Canajoharie to a 62-31 win over Galway in a Western Athletic Conference North?Division boys basketball game Friday.

The Cougars outscored the Golden Eagles 28-8 in the second quarter on their way to the win.

Kevin Shannon and Dillan Veeder each finished with 11 points for Canajoharie (13-2 overall, 10-1 WAC North).

Andrew Izzo scored 14 points to lead Galway (0-15 overall, 0-11 WAC North).

NORTHVILLE - Marcus Failing scored 12 points, including a big 3-pointer with a minute left, to give Fort Plain a WAC North win over Northville.

Zach Sweet finished with 11 points for Fort Plain (8-6 overall, 6-4 WAC North).

The Falcons led 36-35 heading into the fourth quarter before the Hilltoppers outscored them 20-15 in the final frame to earn the victory.

Jason VanNostrand scored 18 points to lead Northville (6-8 overall, 3-7 WAC North), while Tim Monette posted 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Falcons.
