Mr. Barry H. Watson, age 69, of Gloversville, died Tuesday evening, January 15, 2013, at his home with his family at his side.
He was born February 4, 1943, in Ontario, Canada. He came to this area at a young age with his family and was a graduate of Gloversville High School.
Barry was employed by Catalyst Inc. of Johnstown until his retirement.
He enjoyed camping and summer nights visiting his neighbors. He was famous for making bonfires.
Barry was married on November 27, 1993, to Frances T. Salvione Watson, who survives. Also surviving are: three children, Jason Watson of Gloversville, Christopher Watson (Jolene) of California and Kerri-Lynn Sowle (Arron) of Gloversville; his mother, Patricia Watson of Canada; a sister, Doreen Wenskoski (Joe) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two grandchildren, Adrianna Sowle and Skyler Sowle; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His nieces and nephews meant the world to him.
He was predeceased by his father, Harold J. Watson Sr.; and his brother, Harold "Jamie" Watson Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
