GLOVERSVILLE - State police say they arrested a city man after finding marijuana plants and fireworks at his home.

Authorities say a state police drug enforcement task force conducted a search Friday of the home of 53-year-old George Buyce.

Police say they found about 100 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, along with lamps and other equipment used to grow marijuana indoors.

The raid also uncovered more than 20 pounds of processed marijuana and a supply of fireworks in the home.

Investigators today were still trying to determine the proper weight of the marijuana.

Police said they charged Buyce with one count of unlawful growing of cannabis, a misdemeanor. It couldn't be determined by press time whether Buyce was being held in jail or if he had a lawyer. Police would not provide an address for Buyce this morning because the investigation was continuing.

The State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and state police at Mayfield conducted the investigation.
