OPPENHEIM - A town resident received animal cruelty charges after troopers from state police at Fonda responded to a domestic dispute call at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Katrina A. Feasel, 31, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment after officers responded to a call where troopers said Feasel allegedly got out a kitchen knife during a verbal altercation with her grandmother and told her "if she did not shut up, she was going to knife her to death," Troopers said.
Troopers also discovered two deceased dogs in the backyard - one belonging to Feasel, authorities said. Responding officers reported that the dogs appeared extremely skinny.
Feasel was held on cash bail.
