Girls Basketball Roundup: Queensbury holds off Johnstown

QUEENSBURY - Jill Davis finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Queensbury to a 45-42 Foothills Council win over Johnstown on Thursday.

The Lady Spartans led 28-21 at the half and held off a second-half rally by the Lady Bills.

Lorissa Rodriguez finished with eight points for Queensbury (9-2 overall, 4-1 Foothills).

Courtney Cirillo finished with 16 points to lead Johnstown (3-6 overall, 0-5 Foothills), while Hope Cerasuolo added 10 points.

Brendee Russell registered 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Eagles, while Megan Sudduth added 10 points.

Brittany Woodward scored 15 points and had six steals to lead Wells (0-7 overall, 0-7 MVAC), while and Breanna Mayer added 10 points.
