H.S. Bowling Roundup: Johnstown sweeps Gloversville, 4-0

GLOVERSVILLE - Jim Marshall rolled a high game of 222 on his way to a 652 series as Johnstown posted a 4-0 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council bowling match Wednesday at Arterial Lanes.

Ben Empie posted a 196-560 for the Sir Bills.

Mike Marotta posted a 227-575 to lead Gloversville, while Nick Ferrara added a 200-570.

Johnstown finished with a 3,269-3,201 advantage in total pins.

JOHNSTOWN - Kyle Lyons finished with a 268-646 to lead Voorheesville to a win over Fonda-Fultonville at Perry Lanes.

Jake Hooker posted a 226-607 for the Blackbirds, while Alex Paige added a 192-546.

Ethan Gifford paced Fonda-Fultonville with a 245-652, while Rob O'Kosky posted a 193-530. Cody Harding added a 192-521.

Voorheesville finished with a 3,329-3,083 advantage in total pins.

Big 10

Amsterdam 7, Bishop Maginn 0

AMSTERDAM - Joe Spagnola posted a 587 series, leading Amsterdam to a sweep of Bishop Maginn at Kelly's Imperial Bowling Center.

Billy McGaffin posted a 582 series for the Rams, who finished with a 3,159-2,371 advantage in total pins.

Canajoharie 4, Fort Plain 0

CANAJOHARIE - Damon Mason rolled a 222-598 to lead Canajoharie to a sweep of Fort Plain at Iroquois Lanes.

Mike Bowman registered a 201-564 for the Cougars, while Bailey Pitonza posted a 191-553. Gordie Kuntzsch added a high game of 227 for Canajoharie.

Drew Fureno rolled a 207-563 to lead Fort Plain, while Aaron Honeywell posted a 190-528. David Wilday added a 198-520.

Canajoharie finished with a 2,843-2,449 advantage in total pins.

The Cougars will host Duanesburg today at 4;15 p.m. at Iroquois Lanes.

Fort Plain 4, Canajoharie 0

CANAJOHARIE - Krista Kazilas rolled a 153-433 to lead Fort Plain to a sweep of Canajoharie at Iroquois Lanes.

Kiara Putnam led Canajoharie with a 148-404.
