CAROGA LAKE - The 6th annual Caroga Polar Plunge will take place at 2 p.m. New Year's Day at the Caroga Marina.
Other events will take place throughout the day Tuesday in connection with the event, in which people brave the chilly waters of the lake.
At 5:30 a.m., a special Polar Plunge breakfast will be served at the Coffee Shop.
At 11:30 a.m., Vrooman's will be pen for drinks and food.
At noon, the Emporium will be open for storytelling and s'mores.
At 1 p.m., a tug-of-war will take place at the marina.
People may register for the event and pick up a T-shirt at the marina or at Vrooman's.
