Dolgeville volleyball sweeps Herkimer, 3-0

DOLGEVILLE - Ashley Mettler finished with 14 kills, nine digs, seven assists and two aces to lead Dolgeville to a 3-0 win over Herkimer in a Center State Conference volleyball match Monday.

The Blue Devils won by scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-15.

Mikey Rubas registered 10 kills and nine aces for Dolgeville (4-1 overall, 2-0 CSC), while Emily Young finished with 17 assists, eight digs, four aces and three kills.

Annabelle Lee recorded five digs and two assists for the Blue Devils, Taylor Brandow had two kills and Kiersten Manchester finished with 12 digs.

Caitlin Roorda finished with seven digs, seven kills and two aces for Herkimer (1-4 overall, 1-1 CSC), while Jami Peters had five assists and five digs. Natalie Schrader posted six digs and four kills for Herkimer and Emily Guzowich had six digs and three kills.

Westmoreland 3, St.?Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah 0

WESTMORELAND - Allison Brockway had seven aces, six assists and six kills for Westmoreland in a sweep of St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah.

The Bulldogs won by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-23.

Jessica Harper finished with seven assists, five kills and two digs for Westmoreland (6-1 overall, 4-0 CSC), while Alexa McGregor had four kills and two blocks.

Emily Gubbins added five digs and three aces for the Bulldogs.

Leann Knapp had five aces, three kills, three digs and two blocks for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (2-4 overall, 1-2 CSC), while Ashley Hill had six assists and four digs.

Hannah Taylor posted 13 digs for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah and Shelby McCumber had three aces, two kills and two digs.

St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah will travel to Remsen on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match.
