Mildred C. Stilitino, age 94, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Stilitino was born on May 13, 1918, in Weehawken, New Jersey, the daughter of the late George Floyd Howard and Henrietta Buttenbaum Howard.
Mildred worked for many years as an office manager for Cook & Dunn Paint in Newark, New Jersey until her retirement in 1975. In her later years, she enjoyed playing golf in Florida and completing puzzle books. Mrs. Stilitino also enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by six sisters, Doris Martin, Virginia Smolley, Catherine Kashuba, Louise Makowski, Eleanor (Francis "Bud") Johnson and Edith Szapor; one brother, Robert (Judith) Howard Sr.; one stepdaughter, Patricia (Richard) Gesner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Knuth; second husband, Lawrence N. Stilitino, who passed on September 19, 2009; two sisters, Arlene Miller and Marion Crowhurst; one brother, Russell Howard; and four brothers-in-law, Terrence F. Martin Sr., John Smolley, John Kashuba and Edward Makowski.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
