GLOVERSVILLE - A Johnstown man faces charges after authorities say he attempted to strike Dollar General employees with a razor blade in a heist attempt.
Jeffrey Wasula, 32, was charged at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office at the Dollar General with third-degree assault, second-degree larceny, second-degree harassment and petit larceny.
Deputies said Wasula was caught trying to steal a phone from the store.
Two store employees tried to stop Wasula from leaving when he pushed the employees into the door, injuring one and attempted to strike them with a razor blade, deputies said.
Wasula was held at Fulton County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond, and he was issued an appearance ticket for Johnstown Town Court.
