She taught at Voorheesville Central School from 1955 to 1975 and after moving back to this area in 1975 she became a substitute teacher for several local school districts until her retirement in 1988.

On October 12, 1975, she was married to Rev. Donald R. Wing until his death on May 13, 1987.

Flora loved her Lord and Saviour and all that he offered to her in life. She enjoyed hiking, golf, travelling, cats and dogs, spending time at her Caroga Lake camp, and especially skiing. She was a longtime member of the Royal Mt. Ski Patrol and was a regular skier at Royal Mt. right up until last winter at the age of 78. She enjoyed the company of others, and they enjoyed her sense of humor and smile.

She was a faithful and active member of the Johnstown Presbyterian Church, where she was a choir member, deacon, elder, stewardship committee member and Stephen ministry leader. She also served on the board of managers for Willing Helpers Home.

Flora is survived by her stepchildren, Lynette Mason (Ronald) of Lanesboro, Mass., Stephen Wing (Martha) of Holland, Mich., Noel Wing (SueAnn) of Johnstown, and Rebecca Watson (Timothy), both of Oneida, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Mason, Timothy Mason (Dee), Kathryn Sundarajan (John Paul), Benjamin Wing (Heather), Amelia Morgan (Kyle), Peter Wing (Erica), Anna Wing (fiance, Jared Goderie), Marlaina Wing, Mary Beth Bowers (Kel), Daniel Watson and David Watson; great-grandchildren, eight and one due to arrive in January, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Flora had a special relationship with her niece, Pam Cropley (Jim) of Conn. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Geiger and Jeanette Liddle.

The family would like to thank the staff of Willing Helpers Home and Wells House Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Flora during her time with them.

Flora made an anatomical gift of her body to Albany Medical College.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnstown Presbyterian Church, 37 South Market Street, Johnstown, NY 12095. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Johnstown Presbyterian Church, Royal Mountain Ski Patrol, Caroga Lake, N.Y. or the Johnstown Public Library.
