Girls Basketball Roundup: Fort Plain rolls past Canajoharie, 54-25

FORT PLAIN - Haley Kilmartin finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Fort Plain to a 42-25 win over Canajoharie in a Western Athletic Conference North Division girls basketball game Wednesday.

Canajoharie led 12-11 after the first quarter, but Fort Plain outscored the Lady Cougars 11-0 in the second quarter to take control of the game.

Abby Boyer finished with 15 points for Fort Plain (5-0 overall, 3-0 WAC North)

Alexis Kane scored seven points to lead Canajoharie (3-2 overall, 2-1 WAC North).

GALWAY - Abby Spagnola scored 13 points to lead Galway to a WAC North Division win over Mayfield.

Erica Chase finished with 10 points for the Golden Eagles (3-2 overall, 2-1 WAC North), while Amanda Gould scored eight points.

Lindsey Naughton, Morgan Ritter and Felicia Snyder each added six points apiece for Galway, which outscored Mayfield 15-2 in the first quarter.

Nicole Little had seven points to lead Mayfield (1-3 overall, 1-2 WAC North), while Jennifer Little added six points.

DOLGEVILLE - Tereza VanOlst finished with 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead Dolgeville to a win over Mohawk.

VanOlst scored all 14 of her points in the first half.

Marisa Chavez posted 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils. Chavez scored 10 of her points in the second half as Dolgeville outscored Mohawk 28-15 to rally from a 28-21 halftime deficit.

Crystal Barton finished with seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals for Dolgeville (4-1 overall), which has won four straight.

Lyndsey LeClair and Audrey Bunce combined for 22 points in the first half for Mohawk but were held scoreless in the second half. LeClair finished with 14 points for the Mohicans (0-4 overall), while Bunce added eight points.
