JOHNSTOWN - Morgan Ruggeri rolled a 300 game to help Johnstown to a 3-1 victory over Queensbury in a Foothills Council bowling match Wednesday at Perry Lanes.
Ruggeri recorded her 300 in the first game and started the second game with six straight strikes for a total of 18 strikes in a row.
Ruggeri finished the second game with a 245 and posted a 234 in the third game for a 779 series.
"It's a pretty great accomplishment," Johnstown coach Sarah Maiello said. "She just goes out and bowls. She had the same reaction all way through. She stayed calm and that's a credit to her skill and work ethic."
Jim Marshall added a 2670671 for the Sir Bills, while Jay Hadcock posted a 230-595. Ben Empie added a 205-575 for Johnstown (16-8 Foothills), which finished with a 3,679-3,333 advantage in total pins.
Matt Schweigardt rolled a 237-673 to lead Queensbury (18-6 Foothills), while Marc Lambert rolled a 224-634. Nate Madison posted a 256-674 for the Spartans, and Shannen Schill added a 227-572.

GLOVERSVILLE - Brandon Boyer posted a 216-616 to lead Hudson Falls to a sweep of Gloversville in a Foothills Council match at Arterial Lanes on Wednesday.
Ethan Kelsey rolled a 219-609 for the Tigers (19-5 Foothills), while Brian Barrett registered a 212-605.
Richard Taylor led Gloversville with a 240-585, while Mike Marotta posted a 233-563. Tim Hoose added a 193-538 for the Huskies, who slipped to 8-16 in Foothills Council play.
