Girls Basketball Roundup: Lady Braves top Blackbirds

FONDA - Emily Frollo scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 72-62 win over Voorheesville on Tuesday in a Colonial Council girls basketball game.

It was the first win for the Lady Braves over the Blackbirds since they joined the Colonial Council three years ago.

Emily Parslow finished with 18 points for FFCS (3-1 overall, 1-1 Colonial), while Monica Derby added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Jeananna Warner grabbed 11 rebounds for the Lady Braves.

Anna Feller scored a game-high 22 points for Voorheesville (0-2 overall, 0-2 Colonial).

Fonda-Fultonville will host Cobleskill-Richmondville on?Friday.

Ashlee McDonald and Latifa Woods-Walker each added six points for the Lady Rams.

Tucker Geiger added 13 points for the Beavers (2-0 overall), who outscored the Lady Indians 18-9 in the first half.

Brittany Woodward scored 14 points to lead Wells (0-2 overall, 0-2 MVAC), while Bobbi-Jo Page finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Sam Zemken added five points and five rebounds for the Lady Indians.
