WATERFORD - Chris Hanifin finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead Fort Plain to a 55-51 win over Chatham in the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Waterford-Halfmoon High School on Saturday.
The Panthers led 39-37 after three quarters before the Hilltoppers rallied in the final quarter, outscoring Chatham 18-12.
Joe Ray scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter for Fort Plain, while Marcus Failing finished with 10 points and five assists.
Travis Overby scored 20 points to lead Chatham (0-4 overall), while Rephael Joseph added nine points.
Fort Plain (3-0 overall) will face Catskill today at 9 a.m. at Waterford-Halfmoon. Catskill (5-0 overall) defeated New Lebanon on Saturday, 61-31.
