AHS swim team edges Albany, 89-88

ALBANY - Amsterdam won seven of 12 events on its way to an 89-88 win over Albany on Thursday.

Forrest Lee won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly for the Rams, while Kristian Santos won the 50 freestyle and 1-meter diving events.

Santos' score of 243.25 in the diving competition set a new Amsterdam school record.

Nick Louer (100 freestyle) and Pat Purtell (100 breaststroke) also won events for Amsterdam, which also won the 200 medley relay.

Benjamin Binyamin won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle for Albany, while Quinn McDonald won the 100 backstroke.

Albany also won the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.
