GLOVERSVILLE- City police said officers arrested two people from the Two Cousins Fish Market in Latham for allegedly issuing four checks to a local business that were returned for insufficient funds.
Lee Yattaw, 45, of Albany and Florence Yattaw, 31, of Cohoes were both charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, and issuing a bad check, a misdemeanor.
Police said the four checks totaled more than $20,000. Capt. of Detectives Anthony Clay said the checks were written to Antonucci's Wholesale Produce & Seafood.
Police said during the investigation, officers made numerous attempts to contact the Yattaws, who are married, only to find Florence Yattaw was on a cruise out of the country. On Tuesday, police said, the Yattaws turned themselves in to police on City Court arrest warrants.
Both were arraigned at City Court and both posted $2,500 bond.
