I would personally like to thank everyone that entered a float in this year's Holiday Parade in Broadalbin. They all looked great and all the kids were happy and having fun, which is priceless to me.
I also would like to thank all the newspapers involved that helped spread the word, the village clerk (Sheila Bleyl) for all her help, the Broadalbin police and the fire company for taking their time blocking the roads so the parade can go through easily and safely. Thanks to all the vendors who took time on such short notice to help our community. Thanks to all the broadcasters who did the taping to air on TV. A big thank you to all the spectators who came out in the bitter cold to watch; without each and everyone of you, this parade would not have been the success it was.
I don't want to leave anyone out, so I would like to say thank you to everyone to cover all the bases.
It was an honor to organize the Holiday Parade this year with only having five weeks' notice to do so. Everyone pulled together and made it happen, and for that I am thankful.
Planning has already started for the event for next year, and with more time to plan I am aiming for bigger and better.
Hope to see you all again next year.
