Girls Basketball Roundup: Fort Plain tops Mayfield, 43-28

FORT PLAIN - Abby Boyer finished with 21 points to lead Fort Plain to a 43-28 Western Athletic Conference North Division win over Mayfield on Wednesday.

Haley Kilmartin finished 13 points, 14 rebounds, six steals and four blocks for Fort Plain (3-0 overall, 1-0 WAC), while Allehah VanLoan added seven points

Jennifer Little scored eight points to lead Mayfield (0-2 overall, 0-1 WAC).

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Erica Chase finished with 10 points to lead Galway to a WAC North Division win over Saratoga Catholic.

Tegan Matthews posted nine points for the Golden Eagles (1-2 overall, 1-0 WAC), while Grace Milton added eight points.

Kaylie Fish scored seven points to lead Saratoga Catholic (0-1 overall, 0-1 WAC).

INDIAN LAKE - Indian Lake-Long Lake surged to a 22-0 halftime lead on its way to a win over Wells.

Meg Smith scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Orange (2-0 overall, 1-0 MVAC), while Shannon Farrell added nine points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jessica Bain finished with with five steals, four assists and three rebounds for Indian Lake-Long Lake.

Brittany Woodward scored 11 points to lead Wells (0-1 overall, 0-1 MVAC).

WESTMORELAND - Dolgeville used a balanced attack to post a win over Westmoreland.

Mary Reardon scored 11 points and had four steals for the Blue Devils, while Teresa VanOlst and Marisa Chavez each finished with seven points. Jackie Bange had 10 points and five rebounds off the bench for Dolgeville, while Jackie Fake had seven points and three assists.

Chavez grabbed eight rebounds for Dolgeville (3-1 overall), while VanOlst finished with seven.

Amanda Carpenter added eight steals for the Blue Devils.

Kendra McGregor finished with a game-high 17 points to lead Westmoreland (0-1 overall).
