Boys Basketball Roundup: Gloversville loses opener

AVERILL PARK - Miles Joyce finished with 13 points to lead Averill Park to a 50-44 non-league win over Gloversville in the season opener for both teams Tuesday.

Lucas Siegler scored 11 points for the Warriors, while Dan VanRoy added 10.

Matt LaBounty added eight points and 13 rebounds for Averill Park (1-0 overall).

Hunter Goodwin scored 14 points to lead Gloversville (0-1 overall), while Zech Brown added 11 points.
