JOHNSTOWN - City police said a Fonda man was charged early Sunday on drinking and driving charges after he hit a parked car while officers were attempting to stop him.
Police said Robert D. Decker, 21, of 2434 Route 30A, was charged at 2:32 a.m. with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while intoxicated, driving with a 0.08 percent or higher blood-alcohol content, unreasonable speed, failure to keep right, improper lane usage and consumption of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle.
Police said as officers attempted to pull Decker over on West Main Street, his vehicle hit a parked car.
He was held for arraignment in City Court.
