JOHNSTOWN - A Gloversville man was sentenced Tuesday in Fulton County Court to 17 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a child.
Michael Mauro, 51, of 7 Burr St., was sentenced by Judge Richard C. Giardino to prison and 10 years of post-release supervision. The judge granted an order of protection for the victim.
Sentencing was based on the defendant's Oct. 11 guilty plea before Giardino to one felony count of first-degree course of sexual conduct.
