H.S. Bowling Roundup: Gloversville loses to Queensbury

LAKE GEORGE - Nate Madison rolled games of 227 and 220 on his way to a 636 series to lead Queensbury to a 4-0 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council bowling match at Spare Time Lanes.

Marc Lambert rolled two games of 227 to finish with a 618 series for the Spartans, while Darren Clark posted a 247-610.

Shannen Schill added a 201-560 for Queensbury, which finished with a 3,427-3,046 edge in total pins.

Tyler White rolled a 206-589 to lead Gloversville, while Mike Marotta posted a 200-559.

Scotia-Glenville 3, Johnstown 1

SCOTIA - Kyle Welnhofer rolled a high game of 233 on his way to a 609 series as Scotia-Glenville topped Johnstown in a Foothills Council match.

Jay Hadcock led Johnstown with a 228-612, while Morgan Ruggeri added a 210-599.

The Tartans finished with a 3,501-3,350 advantage in total pins.

Mayfield 4, Saratoga Catholic 0

GLOVERSVILLE - Tyler Dawson rolled a 234-583 to lead Mayfield to a sweep of Saratoga Central Catholic at Arterial Lanes.

Anthony Brandow posted a 192-550 for the Panthers, while Alex Colby registered a 194-522.

Nick Kiszka added a 183-515 for Mayfield, which finished with a 2,587-2,298 advantage in total pins.

Josh Pikus led Saratoga Catholic with a 175-484, while Connor Pressley posted a 192-482.

Mechanicville 26, Fonda-Fultonville 6

MECHANICVILLE - Kevin Cunningham rolled a 246-695 to lead Mechanicville to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Kyle Pratt posted a 245-632 for the Red Raiders, while John McCadden added a 223-593.

Lucas Squadrito rolled a 206-560 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Rob O'Kosky posted a 220-555.

Mechanicville finished with a 3,491-3,056 edge in total pins in the season opener for both teams.

Amsterdam 7, Bishop Maginn 0

DELMAR - Jake Cetnar recorded a 247-671 to lead Amsterdam past Bishop Maginn.

Ben Patrick rolled 207-626 for the Rams, while Zack Arsenault added a 215-619.
