H.S. Bowling Roundup: JHS bowlers win opener

JOHNSTOWN - Morgan Ruggeri rolled a high game of 227 and a 625 series to lead Johnstown to a 3-1 win over South Glens Falls in a Foothills Council bowling match Monday at Perry Lanes.

Jay Hadcock posted a 210-603 for Johnstown, while Jimmy Marshall added a 226-588.

Mike Boyce rolled a 224-605 to lead South Glens Falls.

Johnstown finished with a 3,375-3,129 edge in total pins.

Glens Falls 3, Gloversville 1

GLOVERSVILLE - Justin Jones rolled a high game of 229 on his way to a 597 series to lead Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Gloversville at Arterial Lanes.

Derek Daniels added a 213-584 for the Indians, while Eric Richards posted a 188-534.

Tim Hoose paced Gloversville with a 286-656, while Tyler White rolled a 207-570. Ben Vannostrand added a 190-518 for the Huskies.

Glens Falls finished with a 3,068-2,976 edge in total pins.

Scotia-Glenville 3, Broadalbin-Perth 1

AMSTERDAM - Ryan Karabin rolled a 269-683 to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over Broadalbin-Perth at Kelly's Imperial Bowling Center.

Ryan Bekkering added a 240-622 for the Tartans, who finished with a 3,293-3,202 edge in total pins.

Cody Husek led B-P with a 217-621, while Matt Frisch posted a 199-572. Chris Smith added a 232-539 for the Patriots.

Canajoharie 4, Fort Plain 0

CANAJOHARIE - Damon Mason rolled a high game of 225 on his way to a 585 series to lead Canajoharie to a sweep of Fort Plain at Iroquois Lanes.

Mike Bowman added a 224-560 for the Cougars, who finished with a 2,695-2,233 edge in total pins.

David Wilday rolled a 193-492 to lead Fort Plain.

Mayfield 4, Schoharie 0

COBLESKILL?- Tyler Dawson rolled a 213-561 to lead Mayfield to a sweep of Schoharie at Cobleskill Lanes.

Anthony Brandow added a 178-498 for the Panthers, while Nick?Kiszka posted a 187-461.

Amsterdam 5, LaSalle 2

TROY - Ben Patrick rolled a 536 series and a 212 high game to lead Amsterdam to a win.

Billy McGaffin posted a 535 for Amsterdam (17-4 overall), which finished with a 2,950-2,652 edge in total pins.

Jordan Crandall led LaSalle with a 226-555.

CANAJOHARIE - Krista Kazillas rolled a high game of 194 and a 536 series to lead Fort Plain to a sweep of Canajoharie at Iroquois Lanes.

Beth Mallett posted a 202-497 for the Lady Hilltoppers, who finished with a 1,754-1,589 advantage in total pins.
