Cardinal E. "Smart Card" Pombrio, 84, of Memphis, N.Y., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Malone, Cardinal moved to VanBuren in 1973. He was a self-employed vending and amusement machine operator and repairman for the past fifty years.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie; six children, Craig (Waj), Scott, Wayne (Laurie), Larry (Robin), David, and Mary; a brother, Wayne (Dona) Pombrio of Johnstown; a sister, Carolyn (Don) Minicki of Gloversville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. (Route 5), Elbridge, N.Y., with a service to follow at 5 p.m.
