Ronald E. Baker, age 65, of Lantana, Fla., passed away Nov. 18, 2012, in Gainesville, Fla. after a long battle with heart disease and while waiting on a heart and kidney transplant. Ron was an avid fan and loved NASCAR and the New York Giants and was an avid supporter of his grandchildren and all of their activities.
Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Eileen, whom he cherished with all of his heart; three loving daughters, Laurie (Lew) Cook, Tammy (Brian) Farley and Amy (Guy) Buzzelli; loving grandchildren, Calem, Britney, Cara, Jarrett, Anthony and Gianna; mother, Mildred Baker; brother, David (Sue) Baker; sisters, Shelley (David) Sanders and Cheryl (Bob) Curtis; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. 1 and N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach, Fla. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lantana. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
