FMCC women remain unbeaten

ALFRED - Takima Lucky scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Fulton-Montgomery Community College women's basketball team to a 73-66 win over host Alfred State in the opening round of the Alfred State Tournament on Saturday.

Kassandra Flowers added 21 points for the Lady Raiders, while Cheryl Osborne scored 10 points.

Sherice Gayle added 12 rebounds for FMCC.

Haley Witchella scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead Alfred State, while Jennifer Fedrick added 12 points and 14 rebounds. Briana Meehan posted 11 points and nine rebounds for Alfred State.

FMCC (7-0 overall) will face Westchester Community College on today's championship game at noon.

Westchester defeated Alfred State (5-2 overall), 75-71, earlier on Saturday.
