ALFRED - Andy Irizarry scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball team to a 71-67 win over the Monroe College junior varsity team in the opening round of the Alfred State Tournament on Saturday.
Ibrahima Diallo finished with 12 points and eight rebounds for the Raiders.
Fredric Bowers led Monroe with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Winston Shaw added 13 points.
Yadiyah Letellier and Rhydeem Samedi each scored 11 points for Monroe.
FMCC (5-3 overall) will face Rockland Community College today in the championship game at 2 p.m.
Rockland defeated host Alfred State, 60-51, in Saturday's other first-round contest.
Alfred State will face the Monroe College JV squad in the consolation game at 10 a.m.
