GLOVERSVILLE - The city Police Department will initiate a proactive campaign this holiday season to make sure the community is aware of the dangers of impaired driving, a news release said.
The department also will have additional patrols this holiday season targeting violations of traffic law "with a heightened awareness of impaired drivers," a news release said.
Members of the community also are reminded to take steps before celebrating, such as designating a non-drinking driver, the release said.
