AMSTERDAM- A city woman was arrested Thursday on charges that she stole the debit card of a client while working as a health aide in the town of Amsterdam.
Elizabeth F. Perez, 57, of 25 John St. was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff's and charged with three counts of petit larceny, two counts of grand larceny, two counts of criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of identity theft.
Police said Perez stole a debit card from a client Sept. 29, and on that day and Oct. 13 she took more than $500 from ATMs in the town and city.
Perez was arraigned in Amsterdam Town Court on Nov. 15 and has another date in City Court to answer associated charges.
