Jovonna Marie Failing, the daughter of Todd and Robin Failing of Fort Plain, was united in marriage to Cornelis Addrianne Kretser, the son of Jason and Cornelia Kretser of Palatine Bridge, on Sept. 1.

The ceremony took place outside at the Crystal Chandelier, Middleville, Herkimer County. The Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, rector, officiated; he also baptized the bride and married her parents 25 years ago.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Jessica Coons of Ilion, Herkimer County. The bridal attendants were Melissa Lindsay of Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County; Sabrina Turcotte of Maine, cousin of the bride, Jennifer Colon of Amsterdam, and Alyssa Smith of Johnstown. The flower girl was Hannah Sampson of Maine, cousin of bride.

The best man was Donald Kretser of Canajoharie, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were Marcus Failing of Fort Plain, brother of the bride; Michael Robbins of Palatine Bridge; Daylen Lathers and Joshua Darrow, both of Johnstown. The ringbearer was Landon Kretser of Palatine Bridge, nephew of the bridegroom.

A reception for 195 guests took place at the Crystal Chandelier, Middleville.

A wedding trip took place in Cancun, Mexico.
