Schneider began working with the Saratoga EDC in 2000 where she worked on the county's Empire Zone Program, administering it until its sunset in 2010. She has worked with the county's EDC since it undertook the development of the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta, according to a biography supplied at the event.
She worked on a team that marketed the campus to the global semiconductor industry, which led to the development of the more than $7 billion semiconductor manufacturing facility GlobalFoundries in Malta.
The facility is expected to bring more than 1,400 direct jobs to Saratoga County and another 5,000 jobs in construction, service and support jobs.
Schneider now serves as the director of marketing and as an economic development specialist for the Saratoga County EDC.
She has won awards for her marketing efforts from the state Economic Development Council, the Northeast Economic Development Council and the International Economic Development Council.
Her efforts have attracted media coverage from national media outlets.
