Post office plans Sandy food drive

GLOVERSVILLE - The U.S. Postal Service will conduct a "Harvest after Sandy"?food drive on Saturday.

Postal carriers will collect non-perishable food items while on their rounds. The items will be sent to food pantries serving people in urgent need in the New York City area.

People are asked to leave their donated items near the mailbox on Saturday for their letter carriers to collect. Carriers cannot accept glass containers.
