CLIFTON PARK - The annual Section II senior all-star football game will take place tonight at Shenendehowa High School at 7 p.m.

The game features the top senior football players from across Section II competing against each other in a North vs. South matchup.

The senior players are nominated by their coaches and then selected by a committee of coaches to make up squads of 50 players. This year's teams will be led by John Gallo from Schalmont for the South, and Nick Fitzgerald for the North. Coaching staffs will be made up of volunteer coaches from across the section. The game will be officiated, this year, by the Capital District Football Officials organization. They alternate every year with the Northern Adirondack Officials Organization donating their services every year for the student/athlete.

Several area players will be competing for the North team.

Fonda-Fultonville's Kevin Twardzik, Amsterdam's Brett Stanavich, Amsterdam's Geo Rodriguez, Gloversville's Mike Murray, Amsterdam's Mason Calhoun and Broadalbin-Perth's Zach Bulger are part of the North roster.

Canajoharie's Alex Renzi is a member of the South roster.
