COBLESKILL - The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport and Exercise announced Monday that sophomore Rebekah Johnson, an Amsterdam High School graduate and member of the women's cross-country team, has been named the department's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

Johnson led the Fighting Tigers to their fourth consecutive North Eastern Athletic Conference women's cross country championship at the league's championship meet hosted by Penn State Abington at Lorimer Park in Abington, Pa. on Oct. 27.

Johnson earned all-NEAC first-team honors for the second consecutive season, placing second overall in the field of 87 runners at the meet by covering the hilly 5,000-meter course in a time of 21:55.
