GANSEVOORT - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team junior outside hitter Amber Baker, a Johnstown graduate, was selected to the league's All-NEAC second team by the league's coaches.
The Fighting Tiger junior fueled a turnaround 2012 season for Cobleskill as the team posted a 14-17 overall mark with a 4-7 record in NEAC play improving from a 2011 campaign which saw the Cobleskill finish with a 8-22 overall record with a 2-8 mark conference action.
"I am extremely proud of Amber on her selection to the All-NEAC Team for everything she's accomplished this season," Cobleskill coach Scott Hill said in a news release. "She has brought a lot of positivity and excitement to our program that has been lacking the last few seasons. Coming in with two years of junior college experience under her belt, she took on a leadership role and made us relevant as a team in the conference this year."
