Youth basketball league forming

GLOVERSVILLE - A youth basketball league will play Saturday mornings at Boulevard Elementary School.

The league will provide an opportunity for children to develop basic skills and understanding of the game of basketball.

The league will be run by Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Gloversville High School coaching staff, and FMCC and Gloversville players.

The league is open to boys in kindergarten through third grade and will take place December through February.

The cost will be $50 per child.

A clinic and registration session will take place Dec. 1 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The clinic for kindergarten and first grade will take place from 9 to 10 a.m., while the second- and third-grade clinic will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Practices will take place December with games throughout January and February.

Registration may be done at the clinic or by calling FMCC men's coach Ed Collar (332-3387).
