I was in an auto accident the end of August with my aide, Vicki. Someone crashed into the van and the van was totalled. I am in a wheelchair, so the van was made special with a ramp.
The insurance company didn't pay my mom enough money to pay for a used van, so she had to borrow money from my Uncle John. I am a member of the auxiliary of the VFW in Broadalbin. The women decided to hold a benefit for me by selling tickets for prime rib.
I want to thank everyone who was involved in that: the women of the VFW, the men of the VFW, all the people who sold tickets, Paul, who made the tickets and bought the prime rib, everyone who bought tickets - and there were a lot of tickets sold. Also, congratulations to the four winners of the prime rib.
My Uncle John was able to get a little over $500 from the tickets sold. Thanks to Ted of Browns Bus, who sold my mom the used van, which is really nice.
I think the other person was texting and driving. Please do not do that. I now have another rod in my body where my femur bone was.
Thank you to everyone. It means a lot to me and my mom.
