Legislation appreciated

October 29, 2012
The Leader Herald

Sen. Hugh Farley and Assemblyman Marc Butler are at work for small business.

Dave and Zoe Thompson would like to thank Sen. Farley and Assemblyman Butler for their diligence and hard work to see that legislation was written and passed to give the historic Broadalbin Hotel the right to sell liquor at the 1854 pub and eatery. The process was long, but due to their efforts, the hotel is now able to have a full-service bar again.

Despite some of the difficulties in operating a small business, it is encouraging to know that our senator and assemblyman have a vision for small businesses, realizing their need to support them and their impact on local communities.

Without their persistence, we would not have been able to expand that part of our business.

We would also like to send a special thank you to Dottie for her willingness to see us through this long process.
