SARATOGA SPRINGS - Having enjoyed a season full of success, the Fonda-Fultonville boys cross-country team picked up another win on Friday, this time taking the team title at the Colonial Council Championships.
The Braves finished with 39 points, while Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was second with 69 points, Ichabod Crane (118) was third, Lansingburgh (128) was fourth and Schalmont (140) was fifth.
Holy Names won the girls title, sweeping the top five spots.
Fonda-Fultonville's Matt Hoffman won the 3.04-mile boys race with a time of 15:56.36, while Albany Academy's Griffin Keegan was second with a time of 16:14.61.
Fonda-Fultonville's Tyler Angioli (16:20.54) was third, Lansingburgh's Dante Carr (16:21.96) was fourth and Mike Miller (16:25.30) was fifth.
Jimmy Westman (eighth, 16:33.69) and Cameron Gilligan (10th, 16:42.67) also posted top-10 finishes for the Braves.
Other FFCS finishers included Dylan DeSorbo (17th, 17:06.79), Dalton Hunter (23rd, 17:34.09), Omijah Piening (25th, 17:39.34), Damian Freeman (44th, 18:47.21) and Jacob Shave (54th, 19:37.15).
In the girls' race, Holy Names finished with a perfect score of 15 after taking the top five spots. Fonda-Fultonville was second with 74 points, while Cobleskill-Richmondville (127 points) was third. Albany Academy (134) was fourth and Voorheesville (154) was fifth.
Holy Names' Catherine Maloy (17:35.46) won the 3.04-mile girls race, while Holy Names' Leah Triller (18:23.91), Lydia Williams (18:29.53), Jacqueline Willsey (18:30.17) and Estela Smith (18:33.94) were second through fifth, respectively.
Jamie Kasza was the top finisher for Fonda-Fultonville, placing sixth with a time of 18:51.52.
Kimberly Geniti placed eighth with a time of 19:32.19 for the Lady Braves.
Samantha Phelps (14th, 20:19.18) and Carly Littlejohn (16th, 20:34.24) also posted top-20 finishes for FFCS.
Kacie Hunter finished 30th with a time of 21:29.05 for the Lady Braves.
