Parents, businesses helped raise funds

October 26, 2012
The Leader Herald

Earlier this month, the Johnstown volleyball team had its last home game, where we have a food booth to raise money for the team.

I want to thank all the parents who participated by helping run the booth, which gets set up and put away each week. Also, thanks to the parents who donated homemade goodies and food and drinks to sell.

We also want to thank the following businesses in our community for donations of food, such as meat sauce for the hot dogs, pizzas and more. This certainly helps us have a bigger profit when the community donates to the cause. Thank you to Granny's Ice Cream from Rockwood; Italian Bistro from Gloversville; Market Street Pizza, Vince's Pizza and Pino's from Johnstown; and One Cook and a Waitress from Caroga Lake.
