AHS girls soccer loses to Glens Falls

QUEENSBURY - Miranda Haraughty scored four goals to lead Glens Falls to a 4-3 win over the Amsterdam in the first round of the Section II Class A girls soccer tournament Wednesday.

Haraughty has 46 goals this season.

Kaili Jackson, Lucy Tougas and Megan Kanofsky each had an assist for Glens Falls.

Karleigh Madej, Monica Rouse and Madison Healy scored for Amsterdam.

Hayley Flower made three saves for Glens Falls, while Cassandra Robataille made six stops for Amsterdam.

Glens Falls (7-9-1 overall) moves on to play top-seeded Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (12-4 overall) on Friday at 3 p.m.
