DiMezza has compassion

The Leader Herald

My name is Linda Carroll. I am a registered nurse. Honesty, compassion and attention to details are what I strive to achieve in my professional and personal life.

I recently bought a home in Caroga Lake. My agent recommended Traci DiMezza as a lawyer for my closing, so I hired her.

When I became acquainted with the character of Mrs. DiMezza and then realized she was hoping to become a judge, I remember thinking how wonderful it would be to have a judge that possesses the qualities of a person like Mrs. DiMezza. That is why I was compelled to write this letter.

From the first conversation I had with Mrs. DiMezza, I could sense immediately she was a kind and fair person. I felt this because her prices were very reasonable and she did not want any money up front.

I have always been drawn to people who have a deep sense of values. From the moment she first introduced herself, I could sense this in her.

The bank I chose to get my mortgage from was very demanding, and my closing was not an easy task. All through my closing, Mrs. DiMezza was in her primary stages of running for Gloversville City Court judge.

I must tell you, she always found time for me, she always assured me she would take care of things, and she did. My closing went perfectly. She did not miss a detail. I would joke with her, telling her I couldn't decide if her calling in life was a lawyer, therapist or a miracle worker.

When I met her in person, I was amazed at how integrity, compassion and warmth emanated from her.

I do not say this lightly: I truly believe she is one of those people who were chosen to bring balance to the world in all that is good and fair. I could not possibly imagine anyone more appropriate to be a judge.

When I think of the qualities a judge should possess, I think of honesty, integrity, equality and compassion. I know first-hand Mrs. DiMezza has all of these qualities in abundance, and I feel the world would be a better place if a person of her stature were in the honored position of a judge.

I do hope she is elected. I, for one, would surely sleep better at night.
