JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton County YMCA has announced sign-ups for fall classes that will begin Oct. 29 and will run for seven weeks.
The biddy basketball program (ages 4-6) will take place Mondays from 5 to 5:30 p.m. The registration fee will be $25 for members and $48 for the public, and included a free basketball.
The cheerleading program is open to children ages 4 to 10. The 4-6 age group will meet Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6 p.m., while the 7-10 age group will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The registration fee will be $15 for members and $25 for the public.
The youth basketball league (ages 7-9) will practice Mondays or Wednesdays for 6 to 7 p.m., while games will take place Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon from Dec. 1 to Feb. 2. The final day to register is Nov. 3 and the first day for practice will be Nov. 11. The registration fee will be $35 for members and $55 for the public.
The YMCA will offer youth judo (ages 4-12) on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. The cost will be $28 for members and $54 for non-members.
The youth karate program will take place Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 6 and older. The registration fee will be $25 for members and $48 for non-members.
The gymnastics program (ages 18 months to 2 years) will take place Thursdays. The parent-child intro to fun basics class will take place from 3:30 to 4 p.m., while the learn basic tumbling class will take place from 4:10 to 4:40 p.m. The registration fee will be $25 for members and $48 for the public. A more challenging skills class will be offered from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. and a skill-building progressions class (age 6 to 14) will take place from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. The registration fee for the classes will be $30 for members and $55 for non-members.
A zumbatonics class will be offered Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. for 4 to 7 year olds, while a class for 8 to 13 year olds will be offered from 5:15 to 6 p.m. There is no registration fee for members, while the fee will be $35 for non-members.
The YMCA also will offer Saturday teen nights (ages 13-17), which is free for Fulton County teens. A school ID or Y card will be required. The program, which is funded by the Fulton County Youth Bureau, will take place on Saturdays from 7 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 27, Nov. 10, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15.
