AMSTERDAM - The Amsterdam girls tennis team concluded its season Monday at the Section II singles and doubles tournaments.
Amsterdam's Cristiana Johnson lost her lone match in the singles tourney, 10-0, to eighth-seeded Fallon Etkin of Shenendehowa.
Kristie Kaczmarek lost her lone match for the Lady Rams, 10-0, to sixth-seeded Jamie Rosen of Bethlehem.
In the doubles tournament, Tessa Filiberto and Caitlin Gannon defeated North Warren's DaNiell Primeau and Sierra Liebelt, 10-5, before losing to Shaker's Skylar Luu and Nicole Coua, 10-3.
Brittany Durose and Veronica Marsh lost their lone match, 10-8, to Maple Hill's Anna Despart and Madeline Donnelly.
Amsterdam finished its season with a 14-2 overall record, advancing to the semifinals of the Section II Class A Tournament before losing to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. Johnson won the Big 10 singles title, while Durose and Marsh claimed the doubles crown.
