Boys Soccer Roundup: Northville boys lose in overtime, 3-2

GALWAY - Kyle Moffat scored with 6:20 remaining in the second overtime, leading Galway to a 3-2 Western Athletic Conference win over Northville on Saturday.

Josh Bailey scored late in the first half for the Eagles and Jay Oakes scored with 6:31 left in regulation to force overtime. Evan Ceroalo made one save for the Golden Eagles (14-1 overall, 12-1 WAC).

Nate Edwards and David Onzo each scored for Northville (8-6-2 overall, 6-6-2 WAC) and Nick Jonas had an assist. Tim Monette made nine saves

Mekeel Christian 2, Mayfield 1

MAYFIELD - Tai Aderounmu scored in overtime to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a WAC North Division win over Mayfield.

Aderounmu also scored a first-half goal for the Lions, who improved to 11-2 in WAC play.

Dylan Toscano scored for Mayfield on an assist from Matt Chase in the second half.

Rhain Zeronda made three saves for Mekeel Christian, which outshot the Panthers 8-4.

Luke VanNostrand made six saves for Mayfield (11-5 overall, 9-5 WAC).

Big 10

Albany 5, Amsterdam 2

AMSTERDAM - Tyler Stempsey scored two goals to lead Albany to a win.

Ali Alalkawi, Hot Chu and Ar Nwai also scored for the Falcons, while Erick Kwizera had two assists. Khalid Holtzclaw and Denis Leon each had an assist for the Albany (8-1-2 Big 10).

Andrew Disalvi and Taliq Sims scored for Amsterdam (6-9-1 overall, 3-8-1 Big 10).

On Thursday, Amsterdam lost 2-1 in overtime to LaSalle.

Adam Hoffman scored the game-winning goal for the Cadets in overtime, while Chris Skiba scored in regulation

Peter Hamlin and Will Burnett each had an assist for the Cadets.

Disalvi scored the lone goal for Amsterdam.
