Sharon Brace, 63, passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2012, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. She is survived by her son, Billy of Evergreen, Colo. and his partner, Kelly, and her son, Daniel of Springfield, Va., his wife, Carolyn and their five children, Natalie, 7, Jared, 4, and 2-year-old triplets Ethan, Sarah and Rachel.
Sharon received a RN degree from the College of St. Rose in 1970 and began her career at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was instrumental in bringing Planned Parenthood to Fulton County and became director in 1973. While raising her young children, Sharon provided day care services for other working mothers. Later, she became executive director of the Family Counseling Center. For the last seventeen years, Sharon has provided care as a hospice nurse in the Troy area. Sharon loved, worked and played with passion. She will be missed and will continue to inspire those who knew her by the love she gave to all she encountered.
