The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE - The annual city Veterans Day parade and services will be held Nov. 10. The parade will start at 9:30 a.m.

The line of march will be from Eighth Avenue and North Main Street, south on Main Street to Fulton Street, west on Fulton to Frontage Road, then north on Frontage Road to the City Hall parking lot where it will disband.

At the conclusion of the parade, a memorial service will be held at the Servicemens Monument in front of City Hall.

A news release said the parade and services are being held on the nearest Saturday morning to the traditional and original Armistice Day, now called Veterans Day, of Nov. 11, which marked the end of World War I.

The parade committee is contacting participants from previous parades and ask that any group wanting to take part and as yet have not been contacted, to call any of the following: Harold Gordon, Ambrose Anderson, Kenneth Rockwell, Linda Bullock, Karen Dwyer-Smith, Linda Fisher, Debbie Finkle, Michael Perrella, Jim West, Brian Perrella, Todd Mercer, Joni Wilson or Robert Perrella.
